Founded in 2023, HomeSherlock was born from a father’s determination to protect what mattered most — his family.

After retiring from the U.S. Navy, our founder — a single father — purchased a new home to begin the next chapter of his life. While settling in, he discovered that major real estate portals like Zillow, Realtor.com, and Redfin still displayed detailed interior photos of his home, even after the sale had closed.

To his concern, these images revealed everything a criminal would need: room layouts, potential points of entry, and even which bedrooms his children would likely sleep in. The online exposure of his family’s privacy and safety wasn’t just unsettling — it was unacceptable.

Relying on the same determination and problem-solving he honed during his military service, he dove into learning the systems behind these real estate platforms. After successfully removing his own home’s photos, he realized countless other families were unknowingly at risk.

That’s when HomeSherlock was created — a mission-driven company dedicated to helping homeowners take back control of their privacy. Since then, we’ve helped protect families across the country by professionally removing home photos from public search portals.
